Last year we were out exploring, and we realised we had taken a wrong turning, as we turned to go back, I spied this lovely little 12th century church further down the road. I had a few minutes to go and explore the church, St Edmunds in Huxton, Cambridgshire……..but it was locked, as many of the churches in Cambridgeshire are. So I had to make do with the exterior, but a lovely interesting exterior with a very early carved doorway and several small rounded windows, which could be reused Saxon stone. Peering through one of the windows the interior did look full of antiquity, but that would have to keep for another day.
